Dr. Charles Moore received his doctorate of philosophy in biochemical physiology from Mississippi State University. He is retired from the U.S. Army where he served for 23+ years as a biochemist. Moore has been at JCHS since 1998 where his major teaching duties include general chemistry and anatomy and physiology for the general student population and physiology for the Physician Assistant program. He states, "My goal in teaching is instill in students a desire to continue to learn. I want my students to be curious about how the body functions and to not be afraid of chemistry."
Moore is married and has one son and daughter-in-law. He enjoys reading, bridge, gardening and cross stitching. Dr. Moore welcomed a new grandaughter, Mackenzie, on Dec. 13, 2007.
