Eugene (Gene) Kelly, M.A.

Adjunct Faculty

Gene received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from SUNY Stony Brook, New York, and his graduate degree in philosophy and the history of religions from Fordham University, Bronx, New York.

Currently, Gene also teaches at Roanoke College, for the University of Richmond, Virginia Western Community College, and Central Virginia Community College. In addition to his academic teaching, Gene has taught Buddhist philosophy and meditation in the private sector for many years.

Gene is now studying the relationship between spiritual practices, such as meditation, and empirical research in embodiment in cognitive science.
