John Cook has been with the Emergency Services Program since 2006 and currently serves as Program Director.  He received a Master of Business Administration from Averett University, a graduate certificate in Emergency Services Management from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services Management from George Washington University, and an Associate of Science in EHS-Paramedic from the College of Health Sciences (Jefferson).  He has been actively involved in EMS since 1993 and as a Nationally Registered Paramedic since 2000.  He is actively involved in accreditation, having served as a site visitor and team captain for the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).  Mr. Cook is also active with numerous committees at the local, state, and national level regarding the future of EMS and EMS related education.
