Linda Rickabaugh, RN, MSN, has the dubious distinction of being the full-time faculty member who has worked at the Jefferson College the longest. She started teaching at the College in December 1983 when the nursing program was making the transition from a three-year diploma to a two-year associate degree program. She has seen many changes over the 22 years, while teaching adult health nursing & nursing of older adults and serving as the program director in the nursing department for 12 years. Previous nursing positions included school nurse and staff nurse in Anchorage, Alaska, as well as previous positions in nursing education in the Roanoke Valley and as a nurse clinical specialist at the Salem VAMC. Her current areas of interest or ?passions? include end of life care, parish nursing and medical mission work in Honduras. She currently serves on the Roanoke Valley End of Life Care Partnership (RVEOLCP) and in ministry through parish nursing in her faith community as well as by teaching the parish nursing continuing education course at JCHS.
