Dr. Bob Reese is a Professor of Psychology and Director of the Health Psychology Program. Bob's research interests are all framed in Positive Psychology – the psychology of well-being – and he is currently engaged in research projects studying recovery from addictions at Virginia Tech-Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI). Bob prides himself on his teaching and since coming to Jefferson in 2002 has been named "E-Teacher of the Year" twice and is consistently nominated for other Faculty Excellence Awards in Teaching, Advising, and Student Scholarship Development. In 2014 Bob was awarded the Excellence in Scholarship Award presented by Research and Scholarship Council. Additionally, he is a Performance Psychology Consultant who practiced as an Athletic Trainer in the NFL for 25 years. Bob’s is also the author of Develop the Winner's Mentality (Xlibris, 2005) and The 13th Step: Thriving in Recovery (AuthorHouse, 2017).
