The inaugural Jefferson College of Health Sciences Education Foundation Luncheon was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in The Ballroom of the historic Patrick Henry in downtown Roanoke with a keynote address from world-renowned poet, writer, commentator, activist and educator Nikki Giovanni.

This event served to celebrate the work of Jefferson College's students, faculty, staff, and alumni in their mission to improve the health of the communities they serve. It honored the college's unique position "at the intersection of education and healthcare" and served to highlight the importance of both in this new century.

At the conclusion of the event, the College and the Alumni Association presented the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Awards and Recent Alumni Achievement Awards designed to highlight and celebrate the many accomplishments of the College's graduates.
