Third Floor Lobby

October is Exercise is Medicine On Campus month!

Exercise is Medicine® on Campus calls upon universities and colleges to become engaged in the promotion of physical activity as a vital sign of health; the EIM Solution. The EIM Solution aims to link the clinical to the community in combating today’s most common chronic conditions through physical activity. Jefferson College of Health Sciences is an ideal setting that can help bring both together in accomplishing this goal!

On Thursday, October 6, the Jefferson College Health & Exercise Science Program hosted the Exercise Is Medicine On Campus Month  Presidential Proclamation Signing and Community Walk in our third floor lobby at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital on the Jefferson College campus.

To celebrate Exercise is Medicine month, the Jefferson College Health & Exercise Science program has planned several activities to increase knowledge of the health benefits of physical activity and provide opportunities for our students, faculty and staff to become more active this month. Below is a schedule of events and we invite everyone to participate!
