Date: Tuesday, April 19, 2011 - 12:00am On Tuesday, April 19, 2011, The JCHS Office of Alumni Relations hosted the inaugural Senior Salute event. The event was held in one of the large classrooms at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital on the JCHS campus. A variety of refreshments were provided for our guests including this beautiful cake. Many members of the JCHS family attended the event, including JCHS President Dr. Nathaniel L. Bishop (center) and JCHS Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Lisa Allison-Jones (left). We welcomed guests from JCHS, Carilion Clinic and the Roanoke community. JCHS Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association hosted this event to honor and recognize our graduating seniors. Janet Phillips, Program Director of the JCHS Healthcare Management Program (left), chatted with some of her soon-to-graduate students. The crowd at the event enjoyed their time together, reminiscing about their time at the College and looking forward to their future after graduation. Some of our seniors in the JCHS Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program enjoy the Senior Salute event. The seniors who attended each received a pens emblazoned with the JCHS Alumni Association logo. The pens even have a built-in laser pointer and pen light! Our seniors had a chance to catch up with each other, too. As they advance in their programs, they sometimes don't have time to socialize like they did as freshmen. Some of our students enjoy the Senior Salute event—one of their last official events before graduation on May 9!
