The JCHS Master of Science in Nursing Program held a ceremony to celebrate the imminent graduation of their class of 2011 on May 2, 2011 at the Vinton War Memorial in Vinton, Virginia.
On hand at the celebration were many of the Program's leaders and faculty including Linda Rickabaugh (left), Associate Professor in the Nursing Program, and Ava Porter, Department Chair of the JCHS Nursing Program.

During the event, a slideshow was projected that featured pictures of our MSN students during their tenure at the College. Here, MSN student Stephen Lovern's wife checks out some of the pics.
The event also served as a poster presentation event where our students could display the results of their research. Examining some of the posters were Rebecca Greer (left), Program Director of the JCHS Pre-Licensure BSN Program, and Ava Porter.
Soon, the official ceremony got under way with an introduction from Patty Vari, Program Director for the JCHS MSN Program.
Following Patty, Ava Porter stepped up to the podium and congratulated our MSN graduates on their accomplishments and hard work.
Ava asked the entire MSN faculty to step forward. JCHS President Dr. Nathaniel L. Bishop spoke to the MSN graduates and their friends and families about the importance of their contributions to the health of the Roanoke Valley and beyond.
