On Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, JCHS hosted Multicultural Awareness Day in our Student Union, The Dog House, on the fourth floor of Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. The event was a chance to have fun together while celebrating our differences! A variety of exhibits with educational information on multicultural topic of were displayed around the room as we enjoyed some great food and companionship! This was a great opportunity for all of us at JCHS to get to know a little more about others who are different—whether that be race, ethnicity, gender, religion, first language, disability and/or other identities.
