Information for Graduates

As you work through your final semester we wish you the very best and look forward to seeing you at our Jefferson College Commencement on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Berglund Special Events Center in Roanoke. Here is some important preliminary information you need to know.

Graduating Students:

  • Please arrive at the Center's Berglund Hall by 9:15 a.m. for the ceremony.

  • Per policy, graduation caps will not be adorned at graduation.

Graduation Clearance Signature

E-mails with Graduation Clearance Signature instructions are sent out for each graduation ceremony. The fall version will be due by 5 p.m. on December 5. It is essential to closely monitor your Jefferson College e-mail for information regarding the required electronic Graduation Clearance Signature.

Graduation Survey

The "Graduation Survey" e-mail and link will be sent to your Jefferson e-mail accounts. The link will remain open through December 5. If you are graduating in December, you should complete the survey by 5 p.m. on December 5.

You will need to complete this as part of the "Graduation Clearance Process." Once the survey is completed both you and your Program Director will receive an acknowledgement e-mail as verification that you have completed the survey. Your Program Director can then clear you for graduation.

Note: You will also continue to have the option of printing out the completion certificate and presenting this to your advisor as verification that you have completed the "Graduation Survey."

Transcripts

Graduates needing official transcripts sent to licensing boards or other institutions after graduation must submit a Transcript Request Form to the Registrar’s Office. You can do this via your Self-Service account or fax in the request form found on the college website by clicking here. This service is provided to you for free by Jefferson College of Health Sciences.

You may also order transcripts through Transcripts on Demand by Scrip-Safe International for a nominal fee. This process is completely secure. To access the Transcripts on Demand service, go to https://iwantmytranscript.com/jchs.

The first time you use this service, you will set up your account with Transcripts on Demand. You will provide your current/former names, address, student ID and other information. You will be able to log in to your account and update your information whenever you need. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requires your signature in order to release your academic records. You will be required to complete a Consent Form and send it to Scrip-Safe by fax, mail or image upload. This Consent Form is created as part of the account set-up process and your signed copy will remain on file with Scrip-Safe to cover your future Jefferson College of Health Sciences transcript requests through Transcripts on Demand. You may pay for your transcript via credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover). Transcripts on Demand uses the most current security available to protect your credit card and personal information.
