Jefferson College MSN Student Brandon Jones Wins Outstanding Caregiver Award

Congratulations to Jefferson College of Health Sciences Master of Science in Nursing student and CMC Unit Director Brandon Jones on receiving the 2014 Outstanding Caregiver Award from the Association for Patient Experience (AfPE).

Brandon was recognized for his leadership and development of The Patient Experience Workshop training program for the Emergency Department at CRMH. His training efforts have resulted in significant increases in overall quality of care, nursing understanding and caring, as well as significant decreases in left without being seen. “Brandon's approach to the excellent patient experience is not about ‘a score,’” said Steve Arner, President of CMC. “It's about changing the culture to provide an excellent patient experience every time.”

Founded by Cleveland Clinic in 2010, AfPE is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the patient experience. The award recognizes a caregiver who goes above and beyond his job responsibilities, demonstrates AfPE values and champions the patient experience.
