Bookstore FAQs
|
Where can I find my course materials in the store?
Please bring your class schedule with you to the store. Course materials are arranged by programs. There will be a store representive on hand to assist you in pulling your books. The books will be tagged and you can also match the book up to the course number. A booklist will also be provided in the store.
Will there be used books available?
Used books will be priced and on the shelf along with the new books. The bookstore does it's best to have these available.
How early should I buy my textbooks/course material?
It is recommended that you go to class first to see exactly what the professor wants you to purchase. You may buy your books as soon as we get them in, just please keep in mind not to write in them or take the plastic off until you go to class. This makes it easier for you to return them if you should drop the class or get the book from a friend.
Can I return a book for a refund?
You will have the first two weeks of the semester to return books to receive a full refund. To get a full refund the books must not be written in. Also if the books were purchased in a package or shrink wrapped you must return all pieces and still in the shrink wrap.
When can I sell my used textbooks for cash?
We buy used text books at the end of every semester during the final exam week. The days are Monday - Thursday from 10:30 to 1:30. Dates and times will be posted throughout the building. Keep in mind that some textbooks will be used for two or more semesters and you will need to keep them until course is completed. Books will need to be in good condition. Price will vary on books depending on new editions/ book changes or if the instructor is using the book the following semester.
How much can I expect to pay for my course material?
This will vary on the program of study. An average for each semester is $450.00. Keep in mind some books are used for two or more semesters.
What options do I have to pay for my course materials?
See methods of payment above.
