
The Jefferson College Co-Ed Tennis Club played in the USTA Collegiate Club Fall Invitational on Oct. 13-14, 2007 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The club played five different teams during the tournament. JCHS placed 13th out of the 15 participating colleges and was selected by the coaches at the tournament as the Sportmanship Award winner. The Jefferson College Co-Ed Tennis Club won the Jefferson College Invitational Tennis Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 29th at Crystal Springs Courts.
The club placed first out of six colleges to win the championship for the second consecutive year in a row. JCHS had 22 points; Central Virginia Community College had 18 points; Randolph College had 17 points; Central Jefferson had 12 points; Southern Virginia University had 9 points; and Lynchburg College had 2 points.

The club played extremely well during the all day tournament. The coach for the club is Dave Eckes, professor in the math and sciences department at JCHS.
