New Students,
Welcome to Jefferson College of Health Sciences (JCHS). We are pleased that you have decided to attend our College. Our sole mission is to help you become an outstanding healthcare professional.
New students for Summer and Fall Semesters 2008 are required to attend New Student Orientation (NSO) at JCHS on one of the following Fridays, as appropriate:

May 16, 2008—Summer Term Students Only

June 6, 2008—Fall Term Students

June 27, 2008—Fall Term Students

July 18, 2008—Fall Term Students

August 1, 2008—Fall Term, PN or RN-BSN Students Only

August 15, 2008—Fall Term Dormitory Students Only

August 18, 2008—Convocation Ceremony (all new students), Programmatic Orientations (all new students) and New Student Orientation (Graduate Program Students ONLY: PA, OT, and MSN; from 3 to 5 p.m.)
Please note that each orientation is limited to the first 75 new students to register for that particular day. Once a date is closed out, you must then register for an alternate day.
Check-in is from 7:15am to 7:55am in the lobby of the Reid Center at 920 S. Jefferson Street in downtown Roanoke. There is no charge to attend orientation. For planning purposes, New Student Orientation will run until 3 p.m.
Once you have received your IQ Web account, you must register for New Student Orientation by logging on to IQ Web at https://iqweb.jchs.edu/iqweb/Secure/Student/Orientation.asp and completing the New Student Orientation registration. We ask that you register for NSO at least one week prior to planned attendance.
Informational sessions at Orientation cover topics essential to your success as a student at JCHS. In addition, you will receive your JCHS I.D. badge and parking stickers. (Please bring a picture I.D. with you to orientation and the make, model and license number of each vehicle for which you will want a parking sticker.)
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided—free of charge—for all participants and there will be an opportunity for you to meet faculty, staff and other students in an informal relaxed setting.

Parking During New Student Orientation
On Orientation Day, free parking will be available in the parking garage of the Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital building. Enter on Reid Street, which intersects S. Jefferson Street, one-half block north of the College.
