What are One Jefferson Community Hours?

One Jefferson Community Hours is a program designed to offer JCHS students, faculty and staff a common time to participate in fun and meaningful activities, strengthening the bonds within our community. During the 2009 spring semester, no classes are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays (excluding clinical obligations). During this time, members of the JCHS community are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities on campus. For a complete list of activities that could be available to particiate in, click here. The purpose of the program is to enhance the mission of the College by increasing opportunities for student, faculty and staff interaction through the provision of structured time for co-curricular activities.

What is the purpose?

Every member of the JCHS community comes to the school with unique academic and life experiences, as well as talents and abilities—all of which can benefit others when shared. These activities provide an opportunity for our community to interact with each other in many different ways.

What are the goals?

Goals for participants:
  1. Students, faculty and staff will increase their interaction through joint participation in meaningful and fun activities.
