EMT-Intermediate to Paramedic/RN to Paramedic

Target Audience:
 
Currently certified National or Virginia EMT-Intermediates and Registered Nurses with EMT-Basic certification.
 
Course Description:
 
This course provides the student with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to sit for the National Registry of EMT’s Paramedic exam.   
 
Course Format:
 
The program is a combination of classroom, laboratory, clinical and field externship lasting approximately 12 months. Students are required to have internet access for completion of course work.
 
Course Date(s):
 
Oct. 5, 2009 through Sept. 5, 2010.
 
Course Time(s):
  • Monday day: 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Friday day: 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (approximately 1 month)
Clinical and Externship times and days will vary.
 
Continuing education credit:
 
This course is approved through the Virginia Department of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services.
 
Course Fee(s):
 
*$2,750 for EMT-Intermediates
*$1,900 for RN/EMT-B

*Course fees do not cover all required fees. Additional fees will be disclosed at an informational meeting and by mail.
