Jefferson College of Health Sciences Department of Nursing will be hosting a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation site visit October 18-20, 2017. This visit is part of the process for seeking continuing nursing professional accreditation through CCNE for the Baccalaureate and Master’s Degree Nursing Programs.
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education is an autonomous accrediting agency, which ensures the quality and integrity of professional nursing programs. As a voluntary, self-regulatory process, CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self-assessment by nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional nursing education.
Prior to the accreditation visit, schools of nursing are required to provide an opportunity for communities of interest (e.g., students, alumni, faculty, employers, etc.) to provide third party comments about our program, students, and graduates directly to CCNE. Written and signed third-party comments related to the program’s compliance with the accreditation standards will be accepted by CCNE until September 27, 2017. CCNE will share comments with members of the on-site evaluation team prior to the October visit, but at no time during the review process will these comments be shared with the nursing program.
Parties wishing to make comments about a nursing program during the accreditation review process may email them to email@example.com. Comments may also mail directly to the CCNE office at:
