Judy Lash, Ph.D. received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University. Her clinical work and research has centered around psychological trauma. Prior to her work at Jefferson, Lash provided clinical supervision and psychotherapy at a federal outpatient clinic serving combat veterans in Raleigh, NC, where she conducted treatment outcome research on facility-specific cohort therapy for post traumatic stress disorder and served as a Visiting Professor at North Carolina State University. She has also provided psychotherapy to firefighters, police officers, undergraduate and graduate students, and individuals with substance addiction. She believes education of any kind, either in the classroom or in the therapy office, is most effective when it involves interactive, experiential learning utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
