Melody Sharp, DNP, R.N. is the Program Director, Post-Licensure BSN Program in the Nursing department. She received her undergraduate degrees at Beth Israel School of Nursing and Old Dominium University and her graduate degree at West Haven University. Melody is currently working towards her doctorate in nursing practice. She has professional experience that includes the acute care setting, emergency nursing, and long term care settings. She is a strong advocate to help prevent domestic violence and child abuse and has worked as a forensic nurse in both Virginia and New York. Meier joined the faculty at Jefferson College in spring 2005. She brings with her many years of experience as an education consultant. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (International Nursing Honor Society), ANA (American Nurses Association), VNA (Virginia Nurses Association), and ASTD (American Society of Training and Development).
