Dr. Viki Neurauter received a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Medical Center of New Orleans, Louisiana in 1993. Her professional career began with The Easter Seals Society where she assessed the assets of adults with Developmental Delays, marketed their skills to area employers and facilitated the creation of jobs for her clients to secure meaningful and gainful employment. With a desire to have a more integral impact in the lives of individuals, she returned to school and received a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University in 1996. Dr. Neurauter’s clinical practice areas include inpatient rehabilitation, inpatient acute care, skilled care, and outpatient hand/upper extremity therapy. Having still yet a desire to “reach out” and enrich the lives of individuals, she joined the faculty of Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2007 hoping to share her knowledge and experiences to future generations of Occupational Therapists. Deepening her commitment to her students, Dr. Neurauter pursued and earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Polytechnic University in 2011.
