Title: JCHS Celebrates National Public Health Week
Date: Wednesday, April 3, 2013 • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Download:1065_JCHSCelebratesNationalPublicHealthWeek.pdf
Location:Third Floor Lobby of CRCH on the JCHS Campus
Description:The National Public Health Week (NPHW) theme for this year is, “Public Health is ROI: Save Lives, Save Money.” Much like the business world, ROI stands for “return on investments.” Supporting evidence-based public health programs will result in healthier communities and reduce the cost in treating disease. Investing just $10 per person each year in community-based public health activities could save more than $16 billion within five years. Public health has a role in all of our lives; similarly, we each have a role in bringing the lessons of public health and prevention to life. Even the smallest steps can make a big difference!

Join students taking the Principles of Public Health course in raising awareness of the value of public health and prevention in your community during NPHW 2013.
