Stephanie Simpson, B.A.
Coordinator of Residence Life
Welcome to our community! Whether you are a new or returning student, I look forward to working with each of you in the exciting year ahead. I was born in California, but have lived on the east coast for most of my life. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College where I took advantage of many enriching opportunities, one of those being residential living. My experience at Roanoke, serving as a Resident Advisor and living in a residence hall, showed me the lasting impact of a strong community. I am confident that you will also gain invaluable lessons, memories, and opportunities that come with being part of a fun and supportive community. I hope that you find a home away from home here at Jefferson College. See you soon!
Resident Advisors, also known as RAs, are student paraprofessionals who live in the Patrick Henry residence hall. RAs are primarily responsible for getting to know all students in the residence hall and helping to build a strong community. RAs provide a variety of social and educational programs for residents, carry out administrative functions associated with the residence hall, and uphold College policies, state and federal law. Additionally, one RA is on duty every night of the week beginning at 8pm and concluding at 7am the next morning in order to assist with any student issues that arise.
Adam Battaglia, Resident Advistor
Hello! I'm Adam Battaglia, and I am in the biomedical sciences program. I hope to go to medical school and become a doctor after my time at JCHS. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or just walking around downtown. I love living in the Patrick Henry, and meeting everyone in the dorms. Meeting new people is always fun so don't be a stranger. I know college can be tough transition, but it is well worth it. In the words of Bernie Siegel, "Embrace each challenge in your life as an opportunity for self-transformation."
Brittney Crews, Resident Advisor
I’m Brittney Crews. I’m from Halifax, VA. This will be my forth year living at the Patrick Henry. I graduated from the Health and Exercise Science program in May. I am now in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. I love to hunt and fish. When I have spare time, I like to be outdoors, hiking or on the water. At the end of the day, I like to snuggle up with a good book or a movie. I’m all about fun. If you have any ideas for events, please feel free to let me know. I look forward to a fun, exciting year.
Anthony Redd, Resident Advisor
I’m entering my senior year at JCHS. I’m in the Physical Therapy Assistant program and the Health & Exercise Science program. This is my second go around as an RA. I served as an RA during my time attending Emory & Henry College where I played football for 3 years. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, playing soccer, reading, exploring museums and playing with my soon to be 3 year old.
Sarah Bolen, Resident Advisor
My name is Sarah Bolen and I am a junior in the Respiratory Therapy Program. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse and I enjoy walking around town, playing video games, and watching Netflix in my free time. This will be my first semester as an RA! I decided to apply for the position because I wanted to be more involved in the Residence Hall community at The Patrick Henry and have great experiences and make new memories. Overall, I am excited to work with my fellow RA’s to make this a great semester at The Patrick Henry!

Latavia Terry, Resident Advisor
My name is Latavia Terry. I am in the Traditional Bachelors of Nursing Program. I am originally from upstate New York. Transferring here to Roanoke, VA has been an amazing journey for me.
