On April 27, 2014, three of our faculty members—Mrs. Laura Lee Whitten, Dr. Tracy Hudgins and Mrs. Karen Layman—attended the Tea for Trust House at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia. The event supported and brought attention to Trust House, which serves the community by providing stable housing for those in crisis: veterans, individuals and families. They assist clients in securing stable housing through therapeutic programs and life skills and promote both recovery and self-sufficiency. In 2013 alone more than 100 clients (including 12 children) were provided these services.
