On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, Jefferson College of Health Sciences Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant students and faculty volunteered with the St. John's Episcopal Church Community Youth Program (CYP) to help kids plant part of a garden, as well as show them how to groom plants and pull weeds. In May 2016, the Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant programs received the 2016 CYP Partner of the Year Award for their work with this program. CYP is based at St. John's Episcopal Church, just across Jefferson Street from our campus in downtown Roanoke.
