Jeannie S. Garber, RN, MSN is an assistant professor in the nursing department. Garber is a registered nurse with a diverse background that includes expertise in cardiology services, healthcare administration and graduate medical education. Her research interests include leadership, healthcare delivery systems, nurse/physician collaboration, women and heart disease and disease management. Garber received an associate degree from Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke, Virginia, a bachelor of science in nursing from Radford University, Radford, Virginia and a masters in nursing from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Nursing Practice at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Past work experiences include direct nursing care of cardiology patients, nursing administration, hospital administration, service line development and graduate medical education administration. Garber joined the JCHS faculty in October, 2006. Outside of the academic setting she enjoys music, dance and spending time with her family.
