Dr. Susan Polich is Professor and Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Wellness. In this role, she provides and coordinates leadership for four academic and two administrative programs.  As a former faculty development professional and with a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in Higher Education, she brings to Jefferson College years of experience and training in teaching and learning, course and curriculum design, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.  She has won awards for her teaching and recognition for her contribution to scholarship.  Her research interests include the process of faculty growth and the efficacy of engagement pedagogies, especially those involving small group work.  In her earlier years, Dr. Polich was a practicing clinical laboratory scientist specializing in blood banking, a physical therapist specializing in acute care, and physical therapy faculty member.
