On June 23, 2016, Dr. Francis Dane, Chair of the Jefferson College Arts & Sciences Department and Professor, and Dr. Sara Nicely, Director of the Jefferson College Physician Assistant Program, joined our Surgical technology students in a lab to practice with a new laproscopic surgery simulator.

The new simulator helps to teach students teamwork, hand-eye coordination, depth perception and how to use and manipulate laparoscopic instruments and the laparoscope. These are valuable skills to learn in order to help the surgeon during laparoscopic surgical procedures.
