Bethany Franklin Above and Beyond Endowed Scholarship

Bethany Franklin photoA 2017 graduate of Jefferson College's Respiratory Therapy Program, Bethany Franklin graduated at the top of her class before accepting a position in the pediatric ICU at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. Always the dedicated public servant, Bethany was also a paramedic and fire fighter and was dedicated to the betterment of her community. On the morning of July 16, Bethany was tragically killed in a car accident just months after her graduation from Jefferson College. To honor her memory, the Bethany Franklin Above and Beyond Scholarship was created by her classmates and will support a current Jefferson College Respiratory Therapy student with a 3.2GPA who demonstrates a commitment to serving their community, just as Bethany demonstrated for years. The goal is to raise $25,000 to endow this scholarship, allowing this scholarship to be awarded in perpetuity.
