Jefferson College Hurricane Relief Effort

This fall, an unprecedented number of strong hurricanes have battered the Caribbean and southern United States. From Texas to Florida and beyond, our families, friends and neighbors are in need of basic necessities.

That's why the Jefferson College of Health Sciences American Medical Students Association (AMSA), the Jefferson College PA Student Society, along with other partner student organizations, are coming together to host the

Donation boxes will be available in multiple locations through Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital on the Jefferson College campus. The relief effort is looking for donations of items like clothing, blankets, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, first aid kits, dog and cat food, and more to help those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and now Maria. (No human food of any kind is being accepted.)

All donations will go to the American Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity. The project will be ongoing until needs are met.
 
You can find donation boxes at these locations beginning on Friday, September 22:

  • The Dog House, 4th Floor
  • Common Areas, 5th and 6th floors
  • In the Elevator Tower near the Elevators, 4th, 5th and 6th floors
