JCHS Participates in the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis

Saturday, December 10 2011

On Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, several members of the JCHS faculty, staff and student body participated in the annual Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis, a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. The event is held in downtown Roanoke and the course runs right by our campus at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital (CRCH).

In the picture above, taken in the third floor lobby area at CRCH, are (left to right): Lydia Sheets, who’s standing next to her aunt, JCHS Interim Alumni Relations Coordinator Whitney Duff; Ave Mitta, Director of the JCHS Occupational Therapy Assistant Program; and Ally Bowersock, Director of the JCHS Health & Exercise Science Program. Ally’s husband, Tyler Bowersock, also participated but isn’t pictured.

Ally came in first for her age group and Tyler came in third for his. Congratulations to everyone who participated and thanks for supporting local charitable causes!
