Veterans Affairs Development

Jefferson College of Health Sciences is dedicated to honoring the service of both our veteran students and those students who currently serve in our armed forces, as well as their families. We offer financial and support benefits specific to these students and their families, and work to ensure they have all of the resources they need to succeed in their healthcare educations.

Faculty/staff at Jefferson College can find development opportunities to enhance their skills in teaching, advising, and supporting our military students here.

Military Culture Training

A recent RAND study on readiness of civilian providers to serve the military highlighted a lack of knowledge of military culture amongst civilian providers. In an effort to assist civilian providers in serving military clients, the VA has created 4 FREE modules of training.

In partnership with the VA, Give an Hour is thrilled to share these modules with you and asks that you consider taking one or more. Each module is about 2 hours long, and is eligible for 2 free CEU’s. That’s a total of 8 hours of CE at no cost! http://www.giveanhour.org/News/Announcements/tabid/155/vw/1/ItemID/1404/Default.aspx
